TOEFL PBT/IBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language – Paper-based Test / Internet-based Test) The TOEFL IBT test measures reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. It is offered and administered online at testing sites around the world. The TOEFL PBT test measures reading, listening, grammar and writing skills and is currently offered only in locations where testing via the Internet is not available.
Who is the course for ?
- This course is for non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities, where English is used as a language of communication.
What are the objectives for the level?
- The main objective is to achieve a score that is required by the university.
By the end of the course you will be able to :
- Use grammar and functional knowledge with confidence
- Speak on various topics, short and long term with increased confidence
- Listen and understand lengthy conversations, extracting important aspects
- Successfully analyse texts and summarise important content
- Give a written description and write a formal essay
How long is the course?
- Group – 30 hours
- Private – 20 Hours
Teaching and Learning Methods :
- All four skills (speaking, reading, listening & writing) are practiced in detail
- The main focus is on speaking where students are engaged in activities and pairwork according to the syllabus
- Debates that involve logical thought process
- Presentation of short talks
