Course Structure: The Basic Level is composed of the following sub-levels: Starter, A1.1, A1.2, A2.1, and A2.2. When you start your learning journey with Pomegranate Institute, you will take a placement test to determine your current language skills and appropriate level.
By the end of the Basic Level, you will be able to:
- Introduce yourself and others
- Engage in day-to-day conversations
- Talk about yourself, your family, friends, and others
- Ask and answer questions
- Compose and understand messages involving prices, time, date, and location
- Discuss various topics such as family, food, shopping, employment, and location
- Perform routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information on familiar matters
- Understand and respond to common expressions related to various aspects of life
You will cover:
- Present, future, and past tenses
- Pronouns
- Question words
- Sentence structures
- Possessives
- Adjectives
- Adverbs
- How to negate
- Articles
- Prepositions
- Imperatives
- Time indicators
- Comparison
Course Duration:
- Each sub-level consists of:
- 30 hours in a group setting
- 22 hours in a semi-private setting
- 20 hours in a private setting
Teaching and Learning Methods:
- Introduction of selected grammar points
- Lessons based on realistic conversations and task-based listening sections
- Development of reading fluency, accuracy, and comprehension through passages from newspapers, magazines, books, and websites
- Participation in various activities, including lectures, in-class exercises, group/pair work, and weekly homework and quizzes
- Expectation to complete weekly homework and quizzes

Course Structure: The Independent Level is composed of the following sub-levels: B1.1, B1.2, B1.3, B1.4, B2.1, B2.2, and B2.3. When you start your learning journey with Pomegranate Institute, you will take a placement test to determine your current language skills and appropriate level.
By the end of the Independent Level, you will be able to:
- Converse independently on various topics (work, school, leisure, travel, technical discussions, specializations, etc.)
- Handle situations likely to arise while traveling
- Produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects
- Describe experiences, events, dreams, feelings, ambitions, etc.
- Understand complex texts or conversations on concrete or abstract topics
- Interact spontaneously with native speakers without strain on either party
- Give a viewpoint on topical issues, discussing the advantages and disadvantages of various options
You will cover:
- Expressions of goal and necessity
- Time markers
- Structures to express consequences
- Direct and indirect speech
- Future and past tenses
- Passive and active voice
- Expression of time and duration
- Subjunctive tense
- Conditional tense
Course Duration:
- Each sub-level consists of:

By the end of the Proficient Level, you will be able to:
- Understand with ease everything heard or read
- Recognize implicit meanings
- Express yourself fluently, proficiently, and spontaneously
- Use the language flexibly and effectively for social, professional, and academic purposes
- Summarize information from different spoken and written sources
You will revise:
- All grammar points covered in previous levels
To support your learning experience, you will be using:
