- It uses a nine-band scale to clearly identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9)

- All four skills (speaking, reading, listening & writing) are practiced in detail according to Cambridge English standards
- The main focus is on speaking where students are engaged in activities and pairwork according to the syllabus
- Debates that involve logical thought process
- Presentation of short talks
