Dare To Be Different

Dare To Be Different
18-Nov

I have taken a lot of time to think about my life, my routine, and the way I live. I have one constant issue that keeps bothering me. The more I encounter people, the more stories I hear, the more it bugs me. The longer I live, the more I realize how alike we all are.

What I mean by that is whenever a situation takes place in any of our lives, we tend to think in the same way, and react similarly. I always ask myself, why? Why are we so alike? Why do we always think about the same things? There are things that I thought about as a child, thinking I was the only one who thought in that way, but as time passed by I realized that I was wrong. Whatever I am feeling or thinking, many other people are probably thinking the same exact way. But why?

The more I question, the clearer the answer becomes. I understand that all humans are likely to think or act in a certain way. The only people who does not, are those who stop and question. They are the ones who dare to be different.

Not that we are all born the same. What I am saying is that every single human is born unique, and beautiful. We just need to find that distinctive factor in each and every one, and use it to stand out. We as a society spend a great amount of time and effort in becoming someone we are not, or to be like someone that is not us. We do not realize that US in our original form is much more special and distinguished.

I came to understand that to change from the norm, we must be different. We must find that unique aspect in us, and work on it. Work on it until it becomes THE characteristic that makes us different, that makes us stand out. For me, I live to be different, and be outstanding. My greatest fear is to become ordinary. I want to have something special in me, something that makes me, ME.

We are all set out to be different people. We should become the people we are meant to be. We should take it upon ourselves to work on the most valuable blessing we have, and that is ourselves. To some, being different might sound scary, and it might sound secluded. To me it sounds empowering, and it sounds amazing. Let’s bring out the best in ourselves, and dare to be different.
